Happy Cog Joins As Speakers & Sponsors

September 17th, 2009

We have a fantastic line up of speakers, including Happy Cog‘s Jenn Lukas, Brian Warren and Mark Huot, who are going to talk about defining project scope and requirements.

Happy Cog consistently delivers beautiful websites from site structure to interface design, and from branding to content development. We’re really happy to have them on board for the session “Drawing {exp:lines} in the Sand”.

Drawing {exp:lines} in the Sand, 11 am to Noon
The web, as a medium, is constantly evolving, which means so is your project’s scope. Learn about some of the tools and strategies you can use to drive out requirements before you even begin a line of ExpressionEngine code. Designing a process that nails down your scope up front will save you (and your clients) development time in the end. The friendly folks at Happy Cog will take you down a virtual memory lane and walk through how they ensure their development ends on time and on budget.

Engine Hosting is sponsoring the EE Roadshow

September 4th, 2009

The ExpressionEngine Roadshow is pleased to welcome Engine Hosting as a sponsor of this year’s conference in Seattle.

EngineHosting specializes in load-balanced, highly available ExpressionEngine web-hosting solutions. And while EngineHosting’s solutions are highly optimized for clients in need of ExpressionEngine hosting, they work equally as well for other dynamic web applications based on PHP and MySQL. They provide fully-managed web-hosting solutions, including extensive on and off-site backups, and monitor all of their operations via in-house and extensive 3rd party global-monitoring locations.

EngineHosting operates out of three state-of-the art data centers in three different cities in North America: Minneapolis, Minnesota, Edina, Minnesota, and Fremont, California.

Some notable sites hosting with Engine Hosting include: Clifbar.com, Duoh.com, iLounge.com, AquariumofPacific.org, ABAJournal.com, Lunabar.com, Zocalo.com.mx.

Nevin Lyne, Engine Hosting’s CTO, said: “I think its vitally important for events such as the EERoadShow to exist to foster deeper understanding of ExpressionEngine as a product, and the ecosystem that has grown up around it.  These events allow the great minds in the community to meet in person, to share their experiences and knowledge between each other, and overall just have a great time in the process!”

Nevin is also attending the Roadshow and will be giving a short talk at the EE Roadshow party. You can follow Nevin on Twitter—http://twitter.com/nevinlyne

August 21st, 2009

The ExpressionEngine Roadshow is pleased to welcome Blue Flavor as its first top sponsor for this year’s event.

Bring Three, Get in Free

July 14th, 2009

This year, we’re offering a special opportunity: bring three other people, get in free.

How does it work?  Just let us know the names of the three people you’re bringing.  When they’ve bought tickets, we’ll give you a discount code for a free ticket. If you’ve already bought a ticket, we’ll refund your payment.  It’s that easy.

Limit: one free ticket per person. And of course, the final determination is up to the EERoadshow organizers.  But enough dwelling on the negatives. Get started!
